Construction of the Burj Khalifa began in 2004 and completed in 2009. It has since remained the tallest structure and building in the world with a total height of 2,722 feet and capacity to withstand earthquakes up to 7.0 magnitude. A small miracle in the urban desert landscape of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
